Arsenal want Thomas Meunier

According to a recent report from France football, Arsenal are interested in bringing Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier to the Emirates this summer. The Belgian international is set to be out of a contract next year, with the expectation being that he’ll be sold within the next few months. It’s no secret that the Gunners, who are set to compete in the Europa League final tonight, have set out to improve their defensive frailties during the summer. Meunier would certainly be a good acquisition in that regard, but surely it could only be the beginning. If they want to get things sorted at the back ahead of the new season, they’re going to really need to shift things around in a big way – both with the incoming and outgoing.

If not, then they could find themselves in a similar situation this time next season, which could lead to some question marks over the future of Unai Emery.
