Arsenal want to bring back midfielder

Arsenal are keen on re-signing midfielder Havard Nordtveit from Borussia Mochengladbach, according to the Daily Star.

The twenty-five year old spent three years with the Gunners earlier in his career but sealed a move to the Bundesliga without having made a single appearance for the club.

Before penning a deal with Mochengladbach, the Norway international had loan spells with Salamanca, Lillestrom and Nuremburg.

Since arriving at the Stadion im Borussia-Park Nordtveit, who has also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, has racked up one hundred and seventy-six appearances in all competitions, scoring twelve goals.

He has also won twenty-four caps for his country, scoring twice but was unable to help them qualify for this summer’s European Championships in France.

Arsenal lost to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon to remain five points behind league leaders Leicester City and are now priced at 11/4 to finish the season as champions.
