Arsenal want to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran

Arsenal are interested in signing Jhon Duran from Premier League rivals Aston Villa, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Barcelona are also keen on a deal for the 20-year-old striker.

Duran has been on the books of Villa since 2023 when he joined from the Chicago Fire. The Colombia international striker has been used mainly as a substitute by Villa manager Unai Emery so far, but he has delivered the goods. The 20-year-old has scored four goals in eight substitute appearances in the Premier League, two goals in one start and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League, and has one goal in one Carabao Cup game.

Arsenal are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from eight matches, four points behind leaders Liverpool and level on points with fourth-placed Aston Villa. As for Barcelona, the Blauagrana currently find themselves at the top of the La Liga table with 27 points from 10 matches, three points ahead of bitter rivals and defending champions Real Madrid, who are second.
