Arsenal want to sign Barcelona defender Eric Garcia

Arsenal are interested in signing former Manchester City central defender Eric Garcia from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that Arsenal are looking for a new centre-back due to the long-term injury to Jurrien Timber and are looking into the possibility of bringing Garcia to the Emirates Stadium.

Timber joined Arsenal in the summer transfer window. The Netherlands international can operate as a centre-back or as a full-back. Much is expected of the youngster at the Emirates Stadium, but he suffered an early-season injury and is now unlikely to play again this campaign.

Garcia has been on the books of Barcelona since the summer of 2021 when he joined on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City. The Spain international is a very good player, and he could be a smart signing for Arsenal.
