Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Arsenal are interested in signing Ilkay Gundogan from Premier League rivals Manchester City in the summer transfer window. The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that the Gunners’ chances of brining the Germany international midfielder to the Emirates Stadium depends on whether or not they can finish in the Premier League top four this season.
Romano has added that Barcelona are also interested in signing Gundogan this summer, and so are clubs in the Bundesliga in Germany. Talks between the midfielder’s agents and Manchester City board are going on over his future, according to the journalist.
