Arsenal are interested in signing Moussa Dembele from Lyon in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph. Dembele is on loan at Atletico Madrid from Lyon at the moment and is scheduled to return to his parent club at the end of the season. The Gunners are claimed to have looked into the possibility of bringing the former Celtic striker to the Emirates Stadium.
Atletico have the option to sign Dembele on a permanent contract from Lyon for £30 million. However, there is no guarantee that the La Liga giants will exercise that option, as the French striker has struggled with injury and fitness issues and has failed to make a huge impact.
Dembele could be available for around £25 million to other clubs if Atletico do not take up the option to sign the 24-year-old former Fulham striker. According to WhoScored, the Frenchman has made six starts and 10 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Lyon since his loan move in January, scoring one goal in the process.
