According to reports in Italy, Arsenal are considering the possibility of signing Cengiz Under. The Gunners, who are currently riding a 16-game unbeaten streak, are preparing to go into the market for a replacement striker for Danny Welbeck who was struck down with an injury recently.
Under, who currently plays for Roma, has noted that he is very interested in playing in the Premier League, but the Italians aren’t going to let him go that easy. They want to offer the 21 year old a new contract, which would almost certainly ward off Arsenal for good given that they probably won’t come back into the market for another forward after January.
The other big question is whether or not Under will be happy with being a fringe player, because Aubameyang and Lacazette are pretty easily the first two in line for spots in the starting XI right now and barring an injury, that isn’t going to change.
