Arsenal have inquired to UEFA to postpone the two-game ban handed down to manager Arsene Wenger.
Wenger – banned from the touchline for two games for breaching a prior UEFA sanction in their Champions League first-leg play-off with Udinese – and Arsenal are hoping to have the decision on the appeal delayed to allow the French boss to take his spot pitch-side in the second-leg in Udinese.
Arsenal appealed against the two-match ban – with Wenger also fined 10,000 euros – and the London club have now asked UEFA to defer their decision on that appeal until after their crucial clash with Udinese.
Arsenal lead the tie with Udinese 1-0, with the winners progressing to the lucrative group stages of the Champions League.
