Arsenal sent scouts to watch Suso in AC Milan’s win away to Chievo on Saturday, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The attacking midfielder has been linked with the Gunners for a while now, as well as their neighbours Tottenham Hotspur, and even Real Madrid. While he admitted that the Real reports were “flattering”, he did not comment on the north London clubs, but instead simply said he was happy at Milan.
His current deal however, while set to last until 2023, reportedly contains a buyout clause of just over €35 million. Negotiations about a new deal are ongoing at the moment, but the player and the club are still some way apart in terms of wages to be determined by it.
The 25-year-old has so far accumulated six goals and laid on seven assists in 30 games in all competitions for the Rossoneri this season, and his quality performances continue to attract interest across Europe.
