With Marouane Chamakh’s career at Emirates drawing to a close, Arsene Wenger is looking to add another striker to the side.
The gaffer understands that his side heavily rely on Robin van Persie up front and is eager to sign a player who can contribute with goals on regular basis.
The Gunners see Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic as the man for the job and Wenger even had the 21-year-old scouted in Viola’s 2:2 draw with Catania last weekend.
The Montenegro international bagged both goals for his side, thus impressing the visiting scouts and he is now considered Arsenal’s number one target.
Having just signed a new five-year deal, Jovetic will not come cheap, with his valuation somewhere in the region of £20 million.
