Arsenal’s midfielder Alexandre Hleb has made it clear that he wants to leave the Emirates this summer. Real Madrid have joined Inter in the chase for the Belarusian, who is said to be fed up with life in London.
Hleb’s representative, Uli Ferber, says the midfielder feels priviliged to be linked with a club of Real Madrid’s stature.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Ferber had this to say: “For any player in the world it is always a great honour that a club like Real Madrid is interested in him.
“This confirms the good work that Hleb has been doing in these last few years that he is being recognised by one of the greatest clubs in the world.
“Nobody should have any doubts that the interest from Madrid is a privilege for the player.”
Arsenal manager Wenger has offered Hleb a new improved contract with hopes he would remain at the club, but has come to terms with that the player will leave regardless.
Hleb joined Arsenal three years ago for £11.2million from Stuttgart.
