Zenit St Petersburg attacker Andrei Arshavin will be leaving the Russian giants at the end of the season, Izvestia can reveal.
The 33-year-old will be out of contract in the summer and the club chiefs have no plans to offer him a new deal.
A clause in his current contract stipulates that a one-year extension will be automatically triggered if he features in 20 or more league games this season, but such an event appears highly unlikely.
Arshavin has so far made mere six league outings for Zenit and it is perfectly clear he is not in the first team plans of Andre Villas-Boas.
Even so, the veteran forward has no plans to leave midway through the season, but the summer exit appears on the horizon.
Andrei Arshavin returned to where it all started for him following a four-year spell with Arsenal, and while he showed some promise in English Premier League, the forward never quite managed to fulfil his potential.
