(GSM) – Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin has admitted he is set to miss next week’s UEFA Champions League clash with Porto.
The Russian international is struggling with a hamstring injury he picked up during the Gunners midweek win 1-0 over Liverpool at the Emirates.
Arshavin had a scan on the injury on Thursday and although the injury is not thought to be serious the Russian expects to miss the trip to Portugal next Wednesday.
However, Arshavin is hoping to be back in time for the Premier League meeting with Sunderland on 20th February.
“If all goes well, I get back on the pitch as early as the next Premier League match against Sunderland,” Arshavin told Sport Express.
“However, the next game against Porto in the Champions League I will miss.”
