Arteta happy at Everton

Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta insists he is not interested in leaving Everton.

Arteta has been linked with both Arsenal and Manchester City in recent weeks, but insists he is happy at Everton.

“I’ve three years of a good contract left and I’m really happy with how things are run here,” said Arteta. “The club has shown me lots of faith and respect and I’ll be happy to repay them.”

He added: “No way would I drive myself crazy worrying about whether Arsenal or City were interested in buying me.”

Everton will face Liverpool in the second Merseyside derby of the week on Sunday at Anfield. The Toffee’s managed a 1-1 draw on Monday.
