Arteta staying at Arsenal?

According to a recent report from the Mirror, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has received the full support of the club’s board.

Many had been questioning whether or not the Spaniard’s days as boss were numbered following a really poor start to the Premier League season. Alas, Edu and others appear to be happy for him to stay on the books for the time being, even after the defeat to Burnley at the weekend.

The next step could well be for them to wait and see what happens against Southampton this week but regardless of which way that goes, Arteta needs to turn things around in a big way between now and the new year.

Many fans had previously been joking about the prospect of Arsenal being involved in a relegation battle but as their struggles go on, it could become a real possibility if something doesn’t change in either the players or the management.
