AS Monaco and Nice interested in Everton defender Mason Holgate

AS Monaco and Nice are among the clubs interested in signing Mason Holgate from Premier League club Everton in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Ligue 1 outfits Monaco and Nice want to secure the services of the 25-year-old centre-back on a loan deal this month.

Holgate is out of favour at Everton at the moment and is struggling for playing time. The Everton no. 4 has made six starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season. Holgate has also played twice in the Carabao Cup for Rafael Benitez’s side this campaign.

The Sun have reported that Everton will listen to offers for Holgate, who can also play in midfield. Premier League rivals Newcastle United are also interest in the defender.
