AS Monaco are interested in signing Dele Alli from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, according to The Telegraph. Former Tottenham head of recruitment Paul Mitchell works at Monaco now, and he is reportedly monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation at Spurs.
Alli has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham and struggled to even get into matchday squads at times in the Premier League this season. The 24-year-old midfielder does not seem to be rated very highly by Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho, who may not be opposed to the former Milton Keynes Dons player leaving the club in the middle of the season.
The England international has stagnated and not progress much over the past 18 or so months, and a move to Monaco could revitalise the 24-year-old. All is still a very good player who has a lot of talent, and he would flourish for Monaco.
