Italian giants AS Roma have exercised a buy-back option for Sassuolo midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.
The Giallorossi had included a €10 million clause when they allowed the talented youngster to join the Neroverdi two years ago as they had a feeling the player could realise his undoubted potential.
Pellegrini has since impressed at MAPEI Stadium, scoring 9 goals in 47 Serie A appearances, and he has now earned a chance to return to Stadio Olimpico.
The youngster is believed to have agreed a five-year deal worth €2 million per season plus bonuses that also includes a release clause, believed to be between €25m and €30m.
Pellegrini is set to go on vacation after representing Italy at the Under-21 European Championship, but there will be plenty of time for the central midfielder to prepare for the new season.
