Italian giants AS Roma are stepping up their efforts to sign Ivorian midfielder Jean-Michael Seri from Nice, according to L’Equipe.
The Giallorossi are expected to recruit heavily following the arrival of transfer guru Monchi and he has now focused his attention on the Ligue 1 star.
L’Equipe claims that the Spaniard has virtually agreed a long-term contract with Seri’s representatives worth around €3 million per campaign.
However, the two clubs are currently not close to reaching an agreement, meaning there will be at least few more rounds of talks.
Jean-Michael Seri became one of league’s most sought-after footballers after a thoroughly impressive campaign that saw him produce 7 goals and 9 assists in 34 league outings.
French giants PSG, Monaco and Marseille are all hot on his trail, but it seems that AS Roma have now emerged as favourites for the player’s signature.
