Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson has enjoyed a stellar season with the Serie A outfit AS Roma.
Alisson is once again expected to be in goal for Giallorossi as they prepare to take on Liverpool at Anfield in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie.
Having already signed Mohamed Salah from AS Roma last summer, Liverpool are now interested in Alisson as well but Gialorossi remain adamant they will not repeat the same mistake as they did with the Egyptian King.
AS Roma president James Pallotta confirmed Liverpool are interested in the Brazilian but insists Alisson would remain at the club.
“I am not going to sell him. Liverpool want to sign him and we are on very good terms with him. I am sure we will receive some huge offers this summer. We want to build the future of Roma around him.”, Pallotta said.
The Italians will struggle to keep hold of the highly-rated shot stopper who is understood to be have a £70 million price tag slapped on his back.
AS Roma face an uphill battle at Anfield on Tuesday. Liverpool are fancied at 1/2 betting odds to win the first leg against Giallorossi.
