Serie A heavyweights AS Roma continue their pursuit for reinforcements upfront as the club eyes a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who moved to Liverpool earlier this summer.
Giallorossi have been heavily linked with a move for Leicester City wantaway star Riyad Mahrez who has been given all clear to leave the King Power Stadium this summer.
Leicester City, however, will not sell their key asset under price and appear to be unwilling to let the Algeria international leave for a proposed fee worth €35 million.
On their own part, AS Roma will not go beyond their most recent proposal and are ready to drop their interest in the Foxes star and focus on alternative targets, first of which is believed to be Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez according to the reports coming from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 26-year-old Spanish winger is widely expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu club in order to revive his career and he already informed the European champions of his intentions to leave Los Blancos.
The likes of Liverpool and Arsenal are also keeping close tabs on the versatile player who fits into the amount AS Roma allocated for a solution at wing.
In addition, the Italian side have set sight on Barcelona youngster Munir, who is also an option under consideration.
