Italian giants AS Roma are weighing up a deal for Marseille winger Florian Thauvin, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Giallorossi are in the market for a new wide attacker as Mohamed Salah is expected to complete a move to Liverpool in the coming days and the Italian newspaper claims that the former Newcastle United footballer has emerged as their top target.
Even though Marseille only recently purchased the player’s contract as an €11 million buy-out clause was activated early into last season, AS Roma seem to believe they can persuade l’OM to sell, which is not going to be an easy task.
The French giants only recently started an ambitious project and head coach Rudi Garcia sees Thauvin as a key member of the squad after the winger managed 15 goals and 9 assists in 38 Ligue 1 appearances last term.
