Spanish media outlet Don Balon is reporting that AS Roma are weighing up a summer move for Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
The Giallorossi plan to reinforce the middle of the park at the end of the season and the Croatian footballer is one of their primary targets.
According to reports, AS Roma sporting director Monchi has already begun working on the deal that could see Kovacic move to Stadio Olimpico.
The 23-year-old already has plenty of Serie A experience, having made 80 league appearances for Inter Milan and he could soon leave los Blancos in search of first team football.
Kovacic started just one league fixture this season, while making another 6 substitute outings for the Spanish giants.
