AS Roma eyeing Niklas Stark

Italian giants AS Roma are weighing up summer bid for Hertha Berlin stopper Niklas Stark, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The Giallorossi plan to recruit another central defender before the transfer window closes and the German starlet has now emerged as one of their targets.

Sporting director Monchi has been impressed with the 22-year-old footballer, who already has three full Bundesliga campaigns and 72 top-flight appearances behind him.

It is believed that Stark would cost at least €10 million, but that is clearly well within AS Roma’s price range.

The talented centre-back recently signed a new deal with Hertha until June 2022, but chances are he would be interested in joining one of Italy’s leading sides.
