AS Roma in fresh assault on Nacho Fernandez

Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested that AS Roma are hot on the trail of Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez.

The Giallorossi plan to recruit a new central defender after seeing Antonio Rudiger leave and they are currently looking at quite a few footballers.

Aleksandar Dragovic, Niklas Stark and Marc-Oliver Kempf are some of the players on their hit-list, but it appears that Real Madrid’s Nacho is their primary target.

Namely, it seems that the 27-year-old has decided to leave Real Madrid in search of first team football as he wants to secure his place in Spain’s World Cup squad.

Nacho made a total of 28 league appearances last season, but missed out most high-profile games and he clearly feels undervalued at Santiago Bernabeu.
