The Italian heavyweights AS Roma are preparing to continue the Giallorossi revolution under the surveillance of former Sevilla transfer guru, Monchi.
AS Roma director of sport has been making huge waves with his keen eye for talent and transfer wisdom as Giallorossi brought quite a batch of talented footballers over the past two years. Monchi also kept a close eye on club financials by investing modest sums of money while at the same time selling big.
Still trailing behind Juventus, however, AS Roma are preparing their January plan which would involve a swoop for FC Porto midfielder Hector Herrera, according to reports coming from Corriere dello Sport.
The 28-year-old is out of contract next summer and has already generated plenty of interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
AS Roma re hoping to lure Herrera to Rome and install him as a direct replacement for Kevin Strootman who left for Marseille this summer.
