Il Corriere dello Sport understands that AS Roma are hot on the trail of Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj.
The Giallorossi plan to recruit another central midfielder in light of Daniele De Rossi’s under-par showings of late and the Croatian footballer is high on their wish list.
It is no secret that Milan Badelj has entered the final year of his contract at Artemio Franchi and he will soon be able to negotiate a Bosman deal with interested clubs.
AS Roma sporting director Monchi suggested that the club would not be signing new players in the winter, but they will probably attempt to sign the 28-year-old on a free transfer in the summer.
Milan Badelj joined Fiorentina from Hamburg SV in August 2014 and went on to make 92 Serie A appearances.
