Italian giants AS Roma are hot on the trail of Monaco centre-back Jemerson, France Football can reveal.
The Giallorossi are in the market for a new stopper as Antonio Rudiger looks set to complete a move to Chelsea.
AS Roma sporting director Monchi has been in talks with his Monaco counterpart in an attempt to agree a deal for highly rated midfielder Jean-Michael Seri, and he used the opportunity to make a check on Jemerson.
The Giallorossi see the Brazilian as a very good option for the heart of defence, but reaching an agreement with the Ligue 1 champions will be no easy task.
Monaco see Jemerson as a very important member of the side and they are unlikely to be interested in letting him leave this summer.
The 24-year-old performed admirably in partnership with Kamil Glik last term, making 54 appearances across all competitions.
