Serie A heavyweights AS Roma are said to be monitoring Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran who is running out of contract with the La Liga giants.
Juanfran’s deal with Los Colchineros is set to expire this summer and AS Roma are said to be considering a move for the experienced 33-year-old Spaniard.
AS Roma are experiencing plenty of issues at right-back this season with summer recruit Rick Karsdorp out of contention from the moment he signed for Giallorossi.
With Bruno Peres largely failing to meet the expectations at the club, the Italians relied mostly on Alessandro Florenzi and director of sports Monchi is said to be exploring available options.
Juanfran has fallen down the pecking order at Atletico Madrid this season with Diego Simeone mostly using Sime Vrsaljko and AS Roma are confident they will be able to prize Juanfran away from Madrid during winter.
A possible move would also allow Atletico to earn some money and avoid losing their player on a free deal at the end of the season.
