AS Roma lead chase for Fabian Ruiz

Spanish daily newspaper Marca claims that AS Roma have emerged as favourites to sign Real Betis starlet Fabian Ruiz.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Estadio Benito Villamarin, having produced 2 goals and 3 assists in 15 La Liga outings.

English Premier League sides Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City have all been casting admiring glances his way, but latest reports suggest that Ruiz could end up moving to Italy.

Namely, former Sevilla transfer guru Monchi plans to lure the central midfielder to AS Roma and he is reportedly prepared to match his €15 million release clause.

Real Betis will attempt to offer Ruiz a new and improved contract, thus increasing said clause, meaning the Spaniard will have an important decision to make very soon.
