Highly-rated Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali is being heavily linked with a move to AS Roma.
Sportitalia claims that Giallorossi has emerged as favourites to land the 18-year-old Italian starlet who’s been on the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs.
The likes of Juventus, Milan, Inter but also Chelsea and Arsenal have all been keeping close tabs on the youngster.
Roma have emerged as frontrunners, however, due to their positive business relationship with Brescia.
Sandro Tonali is a hugely talented midfielder who has been likened to Italy legend Andrea Pirlo due to the similar physical appearance. The young player insists, however, he is quite different to Pirlo in terms of playing style.
AS Roma appear to be making a U-turn in their recruitment policy and are slowly building an Italy-centric squad with Bryan Cristante, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Nicolo Zaniolo leading the line in the midfield.
