La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that AS Roma are hot on the trail of Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie.
The Ivorian footballer is followed by virtually every single top side in Italy, but it looks as though he will not be moving clubs midway through the season.
Once the winter transfer window is over, AS Roma will appoint transfer guru Monchi as their new sporting director and he reportedly wants to make Franck Kessie his first signing at Stadio Olimpico.
The Giallorossi are also in talks for Sassuolo forward Gregoire Defrel, but he should make a switch to the capital by the end of the month.
Meanwhile, Franck Kessie is set to return to Atalanta after Ivory Coast crashed out of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, and he is expected to try and help Orobici secure an unlikely European qualification.
Having bagged 6 goals in 16 league outings this season, the 20-year-old will be under the watchful eye of numerous scouts between now and the end of the campaign.
