Serie A powerhouse AS Roma are extremely keen on Atalanta hot-shot Franck Kessie, who has been one of the biggest surprises this season in Italy.
The 20-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in European football this season with his impressive performances in the centre of the park for Atalanta alarming the host of suitors.
AS Roma have been strongly linked with a move for the Ivory Coast youngster and Giallorossi are prepared to step up their interest in Kessie in order to beat rivals to his signature.
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has confirmed Roma are ‘very, very interested’ in Kessie, adding that Giallorossi value the versatility of the Atalanta starlet according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Roma are not alone in the pursuit of Atalanta 20-year-old who is being monitored by the Premier League soon-to-be champions Chelsea as well.
The player himself has recently revealed that Premier league remains his preferred destination, with one club particularly of interest for him.
“I like the Premier League and in particular Manchester United, the club I dream of playing for”, Kessie was quoted earlier in 2017.
