Italian giants AS Roma are ready to try and sign Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP.
The former Udinese star was in stunning form last season, producing 16 goals and 20 assists in all competitions and no wonder he is now linked with a big club move.
What is more, Fernandes could become a free agent this summer having sued the club in an attempt to terminate his contract after a group of fans had attacked the Lions players at the club’s training ground.
AS Roma sporting director Monchi is closely monitoring the situation and is ready to offer the attacking midfielder a chance to return to Italy.
The likes of Rui Patricio, Gelson Fernandes, William Carvalho and Bas Dost could also leave the Lions on a free transfer.
