Il Corriere dello Sport understands that AS Roma have reached an agreement to sign Sporting CP defender Jonathan Silva.
The Giallorossi plan to recruit a new left-back after selling Emerson to Chelsea, and they turned their attention towards the Argentine after missing out on Daley Blind.
According to reports, AS Roma had a €6 million accepted by the Lions and the player was since seen in the capital of Italy.
The deal is set to be completed ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline, giving the 23-year-old a chance to impress in the Serie A.
Jonathan Silva had failed to make an impact at Estadio Jose Alvalade, and he featured in mere six league games this term.
