Jonathan Calleri is seen as a rising star of Argentinean football and the 22-year-old striker has already alerted a number of European clubs interested to sign him during summer.
Inter Milan worked hard to bring Calleri to Serie A during the winter transfer window but were ultimately discouraged by the Argentinean’s unresolved ownership issue.
Jonathan Calleri is owned by the Uruguayan outfit Deportivo Maldonado, but a significant share of his deal is thought to be in the hands of a third party which violates the UEFA regulations.
The 22-year-old Argentina international is currently playing on loan at Sao Paulo with Tottenham closely watching the talented star.
In the meantime, Corriere dello Sport reports that the player was offered to AS Roma by intermediaries, adding that Giallorossi could end up grabbing the huge talent for as little as €10 million.
Calleri has played 18 games for Sao Paulo in 2016 and has already scored 10 goals including a brace in his team’s win over River Plate in Copa Libertadores.
