Two giants of world football Manchester United and Real Madrid could be set to agree a sensational swap deal that would see English forward Marcus Rashford make the switch to the Spanish capital, with Spain international Marco Asensio heading the other way to Manchester, according to the Express.
The Spanish super club are reportedly interested in acquiring Marcus Rashford, who is in dazzling form this season with three goals and three assists in nine Premier League games. Los Blancos have recently been linked with Harry Kane but with that deal appearing difficult to negotiate they are now turning their attentions to United’s young forward, and Rashford could well follow in the footsteps of the great Cristiano Ronaldo.
However Jose Mourinho will not give up one of his star players easily and has reportedly told Real Madrid that he would want Spanish midfielder Marco Asensio to join him at Old Trafford as part of any Rashford deal. The 21-year old has become a hugely important player under manager Zinedine Zidane and has cemented a place in the starting XI ahead of the likes of Gareth Bale.
This would certainly be a sensational swap were it to materialise, but it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can thrash out a deal involving two of the most exciting young players in the world.
