Former England international Ashley Cole has agreed to terminate his deal with AS Roma, thus paving his way for a move to LA Galaxy.

The35-year-old defender arrived from Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer of 2014, but has found his life difficult in Italy.

Ashley Cole last appeared for AS Roma on 8th March 2015 and he hasn’t played competitive football for nearly a year now. The England defender subsequently refused to cancel his contract at the beginning of the current campaign so he was frozen out of the AS Roma squad.

Accodring to Gazzetta dello Sport however, Ashley Cole has now made an agreement with his current club for an early termination in order to leave the club a few months earlier than planned.

Cole wants to get ready for the new chapter in his career as the experienced right-back braces himself for a move to the MLS.

AS Roma defender is ready to sign a non-Designated Player deal with the club from Los Angeles that see former Chelsea and Arsenal defender join his former Premier League rival Steven Gerard.

Ashley Cole made just 13 league and cup appearances with AS Roma.
