Those are the words of Mike Ashley, who appears to be hell bent on attempting to sell Newcastle United sooner rather than later. The last few years have been turbulent to say the least with a great deal of speculation as to whether or not Mike would sell the club, or just hand it down to someone he knew. Magpies fans will be getting their hopes up following this latest anecdote, but they’ll all know that they’ve been fooled before.
Newcastle are on a decent run of form right now but there still seems to be a long way to go before the deal can be made, especially given how stubborn Ashley has been in the past with some of his conditions.
