Daily Mirror is reporting that Napoli are weighing up a summer bid for Swansea captain Ashley Williams.
It is no secret the Azzurri boss Rafael Benitez is looking to sign a new central defender and the Spaniard has reportedly set his sights on Swansea star Ashley Williams.
The former Liverpool boss was impressed by the experienced defender as his side faced the Swans in the Europa League knockout stages and he has in turn instructed club officials to try and lure the Welshman to Stadio San Paolo.
Williams is also on the radar of quite a few of England’s top sides, meaning the Liberty Stadium outfit face a real battle on their hands in an attempt to keep hold of their prized asset.
Napoli suffered a new slip-up in Italian Serie A as they failed to beat relegation-threatened Livorno, but the Azzurri remain 1/10 favourites for a top 3 finish.
