Sunday Mirror is reporting that Manchester United are pondering summer swoop for Swansea skipper Ashley Williams.
It is no secret Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to add another central defender to the squad in the summer, and he is reportedly keeping close tabs on the Welsh international.
Ashley Williams has a contract until June 2015 at Liberty Stadium and it is believed he would be available for £10 million.
Swansea may not be too keen on letting their star players leave in the summer, but it is highly unlikely they would turn down a big money bid for the experienced defender.
Williams, 28, has played League Two football just five years back, but a move to Swansea resurrected his career.
He has helped the Swans climb from League One to the Premier League in just four years and went on to make 63 top flight appearances for the Liberty Stadium outfit.
