According to Sky Sports, Ashley Young is in talks with Manchester United over the possibility of signing a one year extension on his contract. The talks between the two parties are still in the early stages but it seems as if things are moving in the right direction, and if it gets pushed over the line, this would serve as the second straight year that United have triggered a one year extension for the former Watford and Aston Villa man.
The 33 year old first made the move to Old Trafford way back in 2011, and while he hasn’t exactly been a fan favourite, many do consider him to be one of the more underrated stars of the last few seasons for the club.
Young has been an ever present member of the starting XI for United in the Premier League this season, as has been the case for a few years now.
