Aston Villa 10/3 to beat Leeds in Sunday’s Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Aston Villa win

Odds: 10/3 @ Bet 365

Enjoying a stellar end to the season, Aston Villa will head to a struggling Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of another worrying display in their 2-0 loss away at Brentford last weekend, Leeds have now freefallen out of the automatic positions. Sat three points adrift of Sheffield United and also suffering a shock 2-1 loss against relegation contenders Wigan in their last appearance at Elland Road, the Whites have really begun to stall. Remarkably losing four of their last seven appearances, Marcelo Bielsa will have growing concerns over Leeds’ defensive issues. Sunday’s hosts have recorded just one clean sheet in their last four matches in West Yorkshire.

As for the visitors, while Leeds might be struggling with their form at the end of the season, Aston Villa have only gone from strength to strength. Picking up a 1-0 win at home to Millwall last weekend, former Brentford boss Dean Smith has now seen his side enjoy an 11-match winning run that stems all the way back to the middle of February. Already confirming their spot in the playoffs with time to spare, fans in the Midlands will be most impressed by the Villans’ form away from Villa Park. Smith’s men have now won their last five Championship matches on the road and have scored 11 goals on that run.
