Aston Villa 4/6 to beat QPR in Tuesdays Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Aston Villa to beat QPR

Odds: 4/6 @ Bet365

With the Championship starting to reach the business end of the season, Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa side will look to continue their fine run of form that has seen them become one of the prime candidates to bounce back to the Premier League next season.

Currently on a three-match winning run, Steve Bruce’s high-flying Villa side will know that another crucial three points on Tuesday night will help them keep up the pace for a spot at automatic promotion. Now sat third in the Championship table, the Villans are only four points adrift of second place Cardiff City while they do also boast the second best goal difference in the entire division. Most recently coming off the back of last weekends season-best performance against the league leaders Wolves, Bruce’s side managed to put four past their local rivals and carry on their fine run of form at Villa Park. Now unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions, the Villans are now unbeaten in their last 10 Championship home matches.

As for the visitors on Tuesday night, Ian Halloway’s QPR side have spent the majority of this campaign stuck in limbo. While the Hoops currently sit in 16th position and may hold a 13 point buffer over the Championship drop zone, the West London club have been unable to mount any kind of promotion push and find themselves 18 points adrift of the playoff positions. As for their recent form, while QPR are coming off the back of ending their three-match winless run with a 1-0 win over relegation favorites Sunderland last weekend, the Hoops have struggled away from Loftus Road this year, QPR have lost their last four away matches on the bounce.
