Aston Villa have made a bid for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, according to Sky Sports. The Premier League club’s offer is between £13 million and £15 million with significant add-ons, but the Cherries – who got relegated to the Championship at the end of last season – have turned it down.
However, according to the report, talks between Villa and Bournemouth are still continuing, and it seems that the Villans remain keen on the 28-year-old England international striker despite their initial bid being turned down. Dean Smith’s side, though, are facing competition for Wilson from Premier League rivals Newcastle United.
Wilson is a very good striker who knows the Premier League well. With Bournemouth having been been relegated to the Championship, the Cherries are unlikely to be able to keep Wilson beyond the summer transfer window, with the striker being too good for the second tier of English football.
