Aston Villa, Celtic and Norwich City are interested in signing Joshua King on a free transfer this summer, according to VG. The former Manchester United prospect is leaving Everton and will become a free agent. Scottish Premiership club Celtic, Villa and Norwich, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship, all are credited with interest in the Norway international forward.
King joined Everton on the final day of the January transfer window after leaving Championship club Bournemouth. The 29-year-old made 11 substitute Premier League appearances for the Toffees. In the first half of the season, King made five starts and seven substitute appearances in the Championship for Bournemouth.
Villa enjoyed a good season in the Premier League and will be pushing for the Europa League places in 2021-22. Norwich’s main objective next season would be to avoid relegation back to the Championship, while Celtic will be determined to reclaim the Scottish Premiership title from bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers.
