Premier League outfit Aston Villa are close to securing the services of Wolverhampton winger Bakary Sako, according to L’Equipe.
The Malian footballer will be out of contract in the summer and he is almost certain to join a Premier League club.
According to the latest reports, the highly rated midfielder is close to reaching an agreement with Aston Villa, although he is unlikely to sign the deal until the Villans secure Premiership survival.
Sako is also on the radar of West Bromwich, but it would appear he is much closer to moving to Villa Park at the moment.
The 27-year-old was in stunning form ever since he joined Wolves from Saint Etienne three years back, scoring 35 goals in 117 Championship appearances.
Sako was especially impressive this term, having managed 14 goals and 8 assists, eventually making the Championship Team of the Year.
After playing for France youth sides, the winger switched his allegiance to Mali and has since scored 6 goals in 14 appearances for the national team.
