Aston Villa are interested in signing Odsonne Edouard from Celtic in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun. It has been reported that the Premier League club have inquired about the French striker.
However, according to the report in the British tabloid, Celtic do not want to sell Edouard and are determined to keep hold of the 22-year-old. The report has further claimed that the youngster is rated at £40 million.
Edouard is arguably the best striker in the Scottish Premiership and is a key figure in manager Neil Lennon’s side. The youngster scored a hat-trick for the Hoops in their opening game of the Scottish Premiership season this past weekend.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the former Paris Saint-Germain youngster scored 21 goals and provided 12 assists in 27 league appearances for the Bhoys, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk. Celtic are aiming to make it 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row in 2020-21, and they will have to keep hold of Edouard.
