Aston Villa eye Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe

Aston Villa are interested in signing Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph. Emith Rowe has yet to sign a new deal, and the Villans are claimed to hold an interest in the 20-year-old attacking midfielder.

Villa are looking for a creative midfielder and have also looked at Norwich City star Emiliano Buendia. Smith Rowe enjoyed a breakthrough season at Arsenal this past campaign and is rated very highly. The 20-year-old made 18 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Gunners this past season, scoring two goals and providing four assists in the process, according to WhoScored. The Englishman also made eight starts and three substitute appearances in the Europa League for the North London club, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Emith Rowe is an important player for Arsenal, and it is hard to see the Gunners sell him this summer. It is very likely that a new deal will be agreed soon.
