Aston Villa are interested in signing Dean Henderson from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that Villa have made an enquiry for the 23-year-old goalkeeper.
Henderson spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Sheffield United from United, and the goalkeeper was also at the Blades on a loan deal for the 2018-19 season. The 23-year-old has bid farewell to the Blades on Twitter, and has stated that he will not go back to Bramall Lane for next season.
It has been reported that United want to agree on a new contract with Henderson, who was the first-choice goalkeeper at the Blades for the past two seasons. The 23-year-old wants to continue playing regular first-team football in 2020-21, and with David de Gea the first-choice custodian at Old Trafford, that could be an issue.
